Since 1990 there haven’t been any nation-wide folk parades in Slovakia but the folk group “LIPTOV” regularly becomes the winner of many regional folk festivals. There are some of the most important prizes we gained during the existence of our group:
In 1962 - the first place in the Slovak Folk Festival
In 1970 - the first place in the Slovak Folk Festival of small dance groups
In 1971 - V. Littva and D.Domiter - the best amateur dancers in Czechoslovakia
In 1973 - the first prize in the Slovak Creative Festival
In 1974 - the first prize in the Slovak Creative Festival
In 1974 - the group was awarded by the prize of the Ministry of Culture of the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
In 1975 - the first place in the Slovak Folk Festival of small dance groups
In 1976 - the group was included in the “A” category of amateur folk groups in Slovakia
In 1978 - the first prize in the Slovak Creative Festival
In 1980 - “Commemorative letter” sent by the Minister of Culture of the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic In 1984 - “Thanks-giving letter” sent by the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic
In 1985 - the group was awarded by the Minister of Culture of the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
